IFFCY announces screenplay nominees for professionals

The 30th edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth has named the nominees of the best screenplay for professionals.

The information center of the event reported that the jury panel of the screenplay competition for professionals has put out a list of seven nominated scripts.

The list includes scripts for movies such as ‘Mother’s Kisses’ written by Hojjat Seifi, ‘On the Earth, Under the Sky’ written by Nasim Kharashadi-Zadeh, and ‘Dorna’ written by Mehrdad Movaffaq.

‘The World is My Home’ written by Mehdi Ayyoubi, ‘Spirit of the Game’ written by Shole Shariati, ‘Pangoul’ written by Hamzeh Salehi, and ‘Mounes’ co-written by Amin Behrouzi as well as Ali Fayyazmanesh are also on the nominations list.

The jury of screenplay competition for professionals is comprised of Mehdi Organi, Homayoun Asadian, Kambozia Partovi, Mehdi Sajjadeh-Chi and Fereydoun Amouzadeh-Khalili.

The International Film Festival for Children and Young Adults is organized annually by the Farabi Cinema Foundation in affiliation with the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs.

The event celebrates films made for children and youth. It also supports emerging filmmakers with innovative cinematic visions and ideas as well as serves as a platform for professionals to come together and exchange ideas.

The 30th edition of IFFCY is slated for June 30 to July 6, 2017 in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
